Friendship Square Quilt Guild is a 501C non- profit organization (#C1928589) which began in 1981 when a group of women in Whittier decided to form a guild to share their common interest in quilting. Now our membership totals more than 120 members and we showcase our work every other year at our Quilt Show which attracts hundreds of attendees. Our ancestors would be proud of how we have carried on the tradition of quilt making. Many of us learned to quilt from our mothers and grandmothers so it is our mission to pass along America's earliest artisan craft to others.
Through our guest speakers, class instructors and fellow quilters we offer both traditional and modern quilting techniques. Quilters of all ages and skill levels are welcome to join. As you look at the pages on our website you can review the many activities of our guild. Then come to a guild meeting where you will be welcomed and where you can see first-hand what inspires us to be creative and why we enjoy this wonderful craft.
